Class Ethos

Gurgle & Co. offer weekly, multi-activity developmental play classes for babies to preschoolers. The classes have been designed to grow with your child, their current stage of development and their developing knowledge, natural curiosity and experiences of the world around them. 

Aligned with the new 2021 EYFS Framework, the classes support and encourage the development of: 

• language acquisition
• fine and gross motor skills
• multi-sensory awareness
• balance, rhythm and movement
• emotional understanding
• cognitive skills
• social and early friendship learning
• attention and listening skills

Time with your little one is precious, particularly in these most formative early years. As a parent it can be difficult to decide which class to choose, Gurgle & Co. has been developed to combine the very best of sensory play, messy play, physical development activities, baby signing and lots of fun with music and rhythm into the one combined class. The classes are stimulating, structured and fast paced, whilst allowing parents and caregivers the opportunity to experience a wide variety of early years activities within the one class.

As your child becomes a preschooler we start to introduce a knowledge of phonics in a fun and play based way, with an aim to build their confidence and awareness of phonemes (sounds). This is based around Phase One of the Letters and Sounds Framework used by nurseries and schools, providing the perfect start for your little learner as they begin their nursery or school education. 

We all want our children to have the best start in life and to have the opportunity to socialise with children of their own age.  Becoming a new parent can be very overwhelming, at Gurgle & Co. we place a high value on the importance of new parents having the opportunity to make new friends for themselves and to join new communities. This is why each class group is connected via a private whats app group to arrange any informal play dates and to ask any questions.
